On 10 June 2022, a consultation, known as Call for Evidence, was issued by the Competent Authorities of France, Germany, and Ireland giving an opportunity for all sectors to provide information on the presence of skin sensitising substances in mixtures with consumer uses, including information on known safe uses.
ECHA has updated the list of the substances included in the Community rolling action plan (CoRAP) for the years 2022-2024. Interestingly, 9 out of 27 substances included in the CoRAP process, are authorized ingredients that can be used in cosmetic products, while one substance is prohibited in cosmetics.
The Swedish Chemicals Agency inspected electronics and summer items such as bathing suits, beach mattresses, and garden items. High levels of hazardous substances have been found in many of these products. Most of them were coming from online stores.
Two cosmetic ingredients are affected by the proposals for consultation on harmonised classification and labelling (CLH). The CLH consultation on Nitrous Oxide has just launched, while Silver has been under opinion development by the Risk Assessment Committee (RAC) on the proposed CLH.
On 25 April 2022, ECHA started the consultation on harmonised classification and labelling (CLH) of the extracts from flowers of Tanacetum Cinerariifolium (CAS no 89997-63-7). Spain submitted the proposal and the deadline is on 24 June 2022.

The European Commission has published the draft document for the 18th Adaptation to Technical Progress (ATP) to Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 on the classification, labelling, and packaging of substances and mixtures (the CLP Regulation).
On the 11th of April 2022, ECHA started a consultation on harmonised classification and labelling of Propylparaben (CAS no 94-13-3).
