Need for regulatory risk management for certain cosmetic ingredients
In October 2023, ECHA published three reports on the assessment of regulatory needs for three substance groups including substances that may be used in cosmetic products.

In October 2023, ECHA published three reports on the assessment of regulatory needs for three substance groups including substances that may be used in cosmetic products.
On 20 October 2023, the UK Government added 98 chemical substances to the Great Britain Mandatory Classification List (GB MCL). This action introduces new mandatory classifications under Article 37 of the GB Classification, Labelling, and Packaging (CLP) Regulation for these substances.
The Detergent Regulation requires information on fragrance allergens in the labeling of a washing or cleaning agent (including makeup brush cleansers). The list of fragrance allergens is established within the Cosmetics Regulation and has recently been expanded to approximately 80 substances.
