On 3 May 2022, the European Commission published the 18th Adaptation to Technical Progress (ATP) to Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 on the classification, labelling, and packaging of substances and mixtures (the CLP Regulation). The new harmonized classifications concern, among others, cosmetic ingredients. Some of them have gotten CMR classifications, which means that the usage of these ingredients in cosmetic products will be soon affected. This regulation will apply from 23 November 2023.
