Conclusion of the opinion:
On 6 June 2025, the SCCS published the preliminary opinion on the safety of prostaglandin analogues in cosmetic products. The prostaglandin analogues taken into consideration are Methylamido-Dihydro-Noralfaprostal (MDN) with (CAS No. 155206-01-2), Isopropyl Cloprostenate (IPCP) with (CAS No. 157283-66-4), and Dechloro Dihydroxy Difluoro Ethylcloprostenolamide (DDDE) with (CAS No. 1185851-52-8).
On 6 June 2025, the SCCS published the preliminary opinion on the safety of Tea Tree Oil (CAS/EC No. 68647-73-4 /285-377-1) in cosmetic products.
Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of the approximately hundred naturally occurring cannabinoids found in Cannabis plants and may account for up to 40 % of the plant’s extract. However, there is no definition of CBD in the Union law applicable to the area of cosmetic products.
On 17 February 2025, the SCCS published the preliminary scientific advice on the safety of Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate – DHHB (CAS/EC No. 302776-68-7/443-860-6) in cosmetic products for children.

On 13 January 2025, the SCCS published the preliminary opinion on the safety of Salicylic Acid (CAS No. 69-72-7, EC No. 200-712-3) in cosmetic products for children.
On 13 January 2025, the SCCS published the preliminary opinion on the safety of Butylparaben (CAS No. 94-26-8, EC No. 202-318-7) in cosmetic products for children.
