On 22 September 2023, the SCCS published the final scientific advice on the safety of children’s exposure to Methyl Salicylate (methyl 2-hydroxybenzoate, CAS/EC No. 119-36-8/204-317-7) as used in cosmetic products. The SCCS adopted this document by written procedure on 14 September 2023.
