On the 11th of April 2022, ECHA started a consultation on harmonised classification and labelling of Propylparaben (CAS no 94-13-3). The proposal was submitted by Belgium and the deadline is on the 10th of June 2022. If the classification process is completed, the use of this substance in cosmetic products may be threatened.
