On 14 June 2023, ECHA added two new chemicals to the Candidate List. One of these two substances is a cosmetic ingredient, used in limited concentration in artificial nail systems.

On 29 August 2022, ECHA announced that it had received new harmonized classification and labelling (CLH) proposals for eight fragrance cosmetic ingredients submitted by Sweden. On 13 June 2023, the SCCS published the preliminary opinion on the fragrance ingredient “Benzyl Salicylate” included in the priority list of 28 potential Endocrine Disruptors (EDs). The deadline for comments was set for 4 August 2023.
