On 6 June 2023, the SCCS adopted the 2nd revision of the Guidance on the safety assessment of nanomaterials in cosmetics. This Guidance on nanomaterials should be used in conjunction with the general guidance for the submission of safety dossiers of cosmetic ingredients “The SCCS Notes of Guidance for the testing of cosmetic ingredients and their safety evaluation, 12th revision, SCCS/1647/22” or any future revision.
