BHT, Acid Yellow 3, Homosalate, Resorcinol, HAA299: Regulation (EU) 2022/2195
On 10 November 2022, Regulation (EU) 2022/2195 was published in the Official Journal of the European Union amending Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 regarding the use of Butylated Hydroxytoluene (BHT), Acid Yellow 3, Homosalate, and HAA299 in cosmetic products and correcting that Regulation as regards the use of Resorcinol in cosmetic products.

From 21 November 2022 only compliant products containing the fragrance ingredient Methyl-N-methylanthranilate (M-N-MA) (CAS No 85-91-6) shall be further made available on the Union Market.

The Scientific Committee has published the final scientific advice on Triclocarban and Triclosan as substances with potential endocrine-disrupting properties in cosmetic products. The SCCS adopted this scientific advice during the plenary meeting on 24-25 October 2022.
