Cosmetic substances in PFAS restriction proposal
On 7 February 2023, the European Chemical Agency (ECHA) published the details of the proposed restriction of around 10 000 per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs). Aluminium: Final SCCS opinion (Submission III)
The Scientific Committee has published its final Opinion on the safety of Aluminium in cosmetic products. It was adopted by written procedure on 1 January 2023

Water-soluble Zinc salts in oral products: Request for SCCS opinion (Submission II)
The European Commission has asked the Scientific Committee to assess the safety of Water-soluble Zinc salts in oral cosmetic products. The SCCS approved this mandate by written procedure on 2 February 2023, and the Committee has nine months to deliver its Opinion.
