On 25 October 2023, the SCCS meeting of the Working Group (WG) on cosmetic ingredients in cosmetic products was held. The points of the previous meeting were agreed upon and published. Below is a summary of the points discussed in this WG meeting.
On 7 November 2023, the SCCS published the preliminary opinion on the hair dye Hydroxypropyl p-phenylenediamine and its dihydrochloride salt (A165) (CAS/EC No. 73793-79-0/827-723-1 and 1928659-47-5/-) in cosmetic products. The deadline for comments was set for 8 January 2024.

The factsheet of the 12th Revision of the SCCS Notes of Guidance for the Testing of Cosmetic Ingredients and their Safety Evaluation has just been published.
On 9 November 2023, the SCCS published the preliminary opinion on Hexyl Salicylate used in cosmetic products. The deadline for comments was set for 12 January 2024.
On 6 November 2023, the SCCS published the final opinion on Water-soluble Zinc salts in oral cosmetic products. The SCCS adopted this Opinion during the plenary meeting on 26 October 2023.
