New version of the EU Bordeline Manual

The EU Commission has released version 5.4 of the EU Borderline Manual, which is now available for download.
On 16 December 2024, the Council adopted the final legal text for a harmonized EU regulation on packaging and packaging waste. The regulation will then enter into force at the beginning of 2025 after publication in the Official Journal of the EU and the subsequent 20 days have passed.
The European Commission recently published a Q&A document to address some questions concerning the application of the General Product Safety Regulation (Regulation EU 2023/988). From 13 December 2024, only GPSR compliant product can be placed on the EU market. Products placed before that date can stay on the market.
