Draft Regulation for Octocrylene and Benzophenone-3
Octocrylene (CAS no 6197-30-4) and Benzophenone-3 (CAS no 131-57-7) are currently authorized cosmetic ingredients used as UV filters in cosmetic products. Considering the concerns related to their potential endocrine-disrupting properties, SCCS carried out a safety assessment for both substances.

Nitrous Oxide, Silver: CLH proposals
Two cosmetic ingredients are affected by the proposals for consultation on harmonised classification and labelling (CLH). The CLH consultation on Nitrous Oxide has just launched, while Silver has been under opinion development by the Risk Assessment Committee (RAC) on the proposed CLH.

Spain has a voluntary labelling system for the packaging of domestic products aiming to inform citizens about the correct separation, and disposal.
