On 3 February 2022, European Commission notified WTO of a draft Omnibus V Regulation, aiming at modifying Annex II, III, and V of the EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009. The draft amendment includes changes entailing both restriction and prohibition of specific chemicals. The proposed date of the adoption is during the 3rd quarter of 2022, expected to enter into force from 17 December 2022. This date will apply to new products and products already on market.
