On 11 February 2022, European Commission notified the World Trade Organization (WTO) of a draft Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 referring to the ban of 12 nanomaterials for which the SCCS has identified a high concern. As a result, these nanomaterials will be included in Annex II of EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009.
