The EU institutions have entered a negotiation phase for the Green Claims Directive, which focuses on environmental claims. This phase, known as trilogues, involves discussions between representatives from the EU Parliament, the Council, and the Commission. The trilogues are a mix of both political and technical negotiations. The European Commission aims to finalize and adopt the new directive by summer 2025.
