On 5 March 2024, the SCCS published the final opinion on the hair dye Hydroxypropyl p-phenylenediamine and its dihydrochloride salt (A165) (CAS/EC No. 73793-79-0/827-723-1 and 1928659-47-5/-) in cosmetic products. The SCCS adopted this document by written procedure on 28 February 2024.
On 5 March 2024, the SCCS published the preliminary opinion on the safety of Acetylated Vetiver Oil in sprayable cosmetic products.
The Commission requests the SCCS to carry out a safety assessment on Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate (EHMC) (CAS No. 5466- 77-3/83834-59-7, EC No. 226-775-7/629-661-9). The Committee has nine months to deliver its Opinion.
