On 14 June 2022, ECHA started the consultation on harmonised classification and labelling (CLH) of the cosmetic ingredient, Tetrahydrofurfuryl methacrylate (CAS no 2455-24-5). Austria submitted the proposal and the deadline is on 15 August 2022. If the classification process is completed, the use of this substance in cosmetic products may be threatened.
