On 11 September 2023, the European Chemical Agency (ECHA) started the consultation on harmonised classification and labelling (CLH) of the cosmetic ingredient, Silver Nitrate (CAS no 7761-88-8). The proposal was submitted by Sweden, and ECHA has launched the consultation, which will remain open until 10 November 2023. If the classification process is completed, the use of Silver Nitrate in cosmetic products may be at risk.
