On 23 March 2023, the Scientific Committee published its final Opinion on the safety of Hydroxyapatite (nano). The SCCS adopted this document during the plenary meeting on 21-22 March 2023.
On 11 January 2023, the SCCS published the preliminary opinion on Hydroxyapatite (nano), with CAS no: 1306-06-5. The deadline for comments was set for 1 March 2023.
The European Commission has asked the SCCS to assess the safety of Hydroxyapatite (nano). On 15-16 March 2022, the SCCS accepted this mandate and the Committee has six months to deliver its Opinion.
