Draft CMR Omnibus VI Regulation
On 17 November 2022, European Commission notified WTO of a draft Omnibus VI Regulation, aiming at modifying Annex II of the EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009. OPSS Call for data on Endocrine Disruptors
On 22 July 2022, the Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) invited any interested parties, including academia, manufacturers of cosmetic products, producers of the substances concerned, and consumer associations to submit any scientific information relevant to the safety assessment of six cosmetic ingredients with endocrine disrupting properties.

Octocrylene and Benzophenone-3: Regulation (EU) 2022/1176
On 7 July 2022, Regulation (EU) 2022/1176 was published in the Official Journal of the European Union amending Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 regarding the use of Octocrylene (CAS no 6197-30-4) and Benzophenone-3 (CAS no 131-57-7) as UV filters in cosmetic products.
