In September 2023, ECHA initiated a public consultation on a dossier prepared in accordance with the requirements outlined in Annex XV of REACH. The dossier proposes identifying two UV absorbers as Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC). These two substances are Bumetrizole (CAS No. 3896-11-5) and Octrizole (CAS No. 3147-75-9). The consultation period will be open until 16 October 2023.
