On 7 September 2023, producing countries jointly submitted a letter to the European Commission, expressing their deep concern regarding the recent entry into force of the European Union’s regulation on deforestation-free products (EUDR). The letter was signed by the Ambassadors of these countries, which include Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Ghana, Guatemala, Honduras, Indonesia, Ivory Coast, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Paraguay, Peru, and Thailand.
